but then again, we all speculate also no point cause at the end of the day, AW makes the decisions... so let's just hope we don't end up with nothing and then terkena pulak another injury after the transfer window closes...

i didn't stay up for the match cause i was feeling slightly unwell, so decided not to risk it. but this morning, i straight away woke up cause i had a dream that arsenal lost. checked online, sure enough.. kalah.. ish...

there's the return leg right?... at least still got hope... hopefully...

i tend to agree with some of the forumers have been saying about arsenal players or AW complaining about opposing teams and circumstances when arsenal lose, and i think this is not the mentality of champions.

i can understand that sometimes we get the short end of the deal, but then again, the other 19 teams in the EPL also have their ups and downs regardless of what kind of favouritism certain teams get. I believe that the best way to retaliate is to show all these teams that we have what it takes even if they decide to play physical, or decide to park the bus or had the referee on their side, etc, etc.

we will have to earn the title, not expect people to roll over and die, otherwise we complain. i cannot tell you how much pride it gives me when arsenal win despite all these shanenigans... i really hope the seemingly familiar year end / new year meltdown will not happen again.... we're still in the running for 4 trophies at this stage of the season and if we don't win anything, there is no one else to blame but themselves...

for me, i think we're adequately covered in the GK position already. i've always been very vocal about our need for good defensive personnel, but i am amazed at how fabianski has reinvented himself to control his penalty box especially during corners and free kicks and how he's now coming out to claim crosses. woj is slightly more inexperienced, but he needs to work on his ball distribution and composure.

i think what we really need now is a CB as a back up plan just in case. a solid signing (i.e. someone who is matured and can just step into the team) would lift the entire team.

a good nice to have would be a more defensive type player ala gilberto / song who can take care of our back 4. denilson is more CM and i must say i haven't been amused with is work rate and playing style in recent memory.

but here's to hoping for another shot in the arm for the title hopes when we meet wigan tonight.... i hope arshavin doesn't start... he's been doing squat almost the entire season. no defensive covering, lethargic performances, missing countless one on ones....

check out the height difference between bendtner and arshavin... hahaha.. the danish giant vs the russian midget... and i wonder why bendtner put his hands the way he did on arshavin? doesn't really look right... hahahah....
