It's a design fault, Dell is OBLIGATED BY LAW to repair it. At least by law in any sane country anyway.some said Dell demand CompleteCover for that. but some said just POW.
But really, if they spout some crap about CC, tell them IT'S A FREAKING DESIGN FAULT. And make SURE they understand that they SHOULD be sending the FIXED new hinges for repair or you'll be calling them up again in a few months for a new hinge after that.
Ahhh, when are the new M11xR3 and M14x coming. My M1210 can't hold on for much longer it seems (keyboard dying on me edi).
