my alienware m15x with intel wifi link 5300 is suspected faulty

dropped connection regularly, even tested my router with another netbook and used handphone wireless tethering just beside the laptop same dropping

by drop i mean the connection gets disconnected, sometimes cant even see my AP for a few minutes, and internet is damn slow

its not that weak a signal - 3 bars average - when conected

so installed new drivers, uninstalled - same effect

any experience guys? before i resort to calling Dell. You guys think they'll change at my home the wifi card?

Well, unless there is a dedicated thread for Alienware desktops, I don't think there is any problem including the Alienware desktops here.

Hardware forum mostly cater to DIY desktops. If anyone opens an OEM-desktop thread there, it may receive bashing.

TS, the FAQ section regarding the nameplate is no longer correct.
Mine arrived today with my customised nameplate.

Since that's simple to replace.. ask them ship it to you and you just screw it back on tongue.gif
