crysis 2 is not a challenge to laptop GPUs. since it has been dumbdown for consoles. if you are getting 40-50fps on hardcore thn your fps is way above tht since the new drivers has not been released. really dissapointed with consolized crysis 2.

stange all of you have problems with m11x. mine is like 3 months old still ok. ntg falling apart.

the m18 doesnt look like m18x. looks smaller. liket he size of m17x but m17x has a plastic cap right at the bottom of the top casing. so its a product we will never know....for now

so yea, if you guys are waiting for the m18x, it will release at the end of april.

its not bloody m14x. someone just randomly took Mandrake's M17x-R3 from NBR and post it without his consent. its bunch of bullocks if u ask me.

Save your money. There is no point for u to get a 1600mhz ram for your m17x. Your mobo limits the memory clock speed to 1333mhz. Only pure x58 n p67 boards allow u to do that as the BIOS does not restrict it. Therefore there is no use if u have a 1600mhz ram.

The reason crysis 2 is running good on most PC is because its default running on dx9. Also, Ive compared the settings between advance n hardcore and I found out there is no difference at all. Your 280m is at 50fps, therefore my dual 480s shod be 100 over, right? Its sad to say its not. Mine was the same as yours. The had been poorly ported to the PC three is why most 2-1 yo PC could run smoothly. Hopefully they fix this soon with the patch they promised after the release.

if a 260M can reach 50fps on advance than your 580 could reach more than that, same goes to my dual 480s. but no it is stuck at the mainstream 50fps. its just poorly ported.

but then again, hopefully a patch from them and a driver from nvidia will solve it.

probably not that. it could be outdated drivers as nvidia has yet to release drivers for crysis 2.

plus frame limiting would not be an error for most game who needs to support 3d vision. most games that was developed using nvidia gpu had fix their tearing issue thus u could run w/o 3d vision at 120fps. if they didnt then you would see tearing at 3d vision or at 120fps.

so the problem could most probably that it was poorly ported.

yea....ok? 266 is more optimized. but the next driver eta...this month shld be optimized for both homefront nad crysis2.

its been like 9 drivers ago. just update it.

bf3 is the successor of bf2 and not bfbc2. bfbc3 is somewhere in the near future and it is a squeal to bfbc and bfbc2

u better check with notebook reviews coz most of the users here gets the information form there. so wotever info u get here is probably 1-2 days late. if yer lucky, its on time update.
