Wonder what's the difference compared to the original Orion backpack.. Its smaller I think, hopefully cheaper as well... if not then it sort of loses its point  laugh.gif
*
yes, most probably smaller in size and cheaper in price as well smile.gif

Ugh damnit. I think the bearing of my M15x's processor fan is dying or something.
Loud noises and sometimes even vibration when the processor is stressed.

Worst thing? I'm now in UK D:

What can I do in this situation :/

I thought of that too, I clean the fans very regularly (once a month) so the dust isn't really significant..at least visually.
Bah..I wonder how much will it cost since the warranty isn't international doh.gif

And by the way, how to take out the fans?
I am not really sure how to take the top panel out lol.

EDIT:
The CPU Heatsink fan is 49.99GBP (saw on ebay)
Omg lol

Yeah thanks for the advice.
I checked it out and pry opened my M15x CPU Heatsink Fan.
Disassemble to the very last component of the fan and the fan is very clean, some dust but not significant.
And the bearing seems fine..too?
Maybe I'll get some WD-40 or some sort of lubricant for it..

After I cleaned the bearing with microfiber cloth, light wiping of course, I put them back together and run a CPU test.
The temperature improved somehow LOL. (Full load from 83 down to 78)
I have no idea why but the noise is still there, but not as worst.

And uhh if this information is any helpful (or maybe a duh)
The fan used in M15x's CPU is a magnetic bearing type.

EDIT:
After some reading, maglev type is the best among all?
And it's frictionless. Then..where the hell the noises coming from???
Crap..I'm starting to think there is something else in my laptop that causes the noise.....

Oh...

Pictures revealed in forum.notebookreview.com shows it is anordized aluminum again for the M18X.

Sounds fantastic. I feel a bit of regret then again I don't think i can carry that much weight while travelling lol!

When I settle properly in Australia soon I hope, should be getting Area 51 ALX smile.gif
