Well crysis 2 not that graphic demand. Metro 2033still take the lead. Gtx260m play well on crysis2 although can't Max out. And I don't see any huge different from Max it out compare to medium.

My laptop's acting up again... Upgraded to NV Driver v267.76 edi and some improvements in my gaming performance... but the GPU becomes sott once in a while with the screen becoming all white for a while or some flickerng etc~ doh.gif C'mon la bloody lappie~!!! vmad.gif Don't tell me that I should stick to V197.16 all the time by sacrificing performance for stability~ cry.gif

thats why i just stick to my old, sweet GPU driver as i found out that its the most stable.

i know newer will boost the performance, but too lazy and too busy to spend my time tweaking it sweat.gif

I'm gonna revert back to V197.16 now~ hmm.gif

Just asking here guys, but have any of you started having trouble with crysis 2?

I have encountered massive stuttering while playing, and thats after I played it for a few levels and turned off the pc.

The temp that I got from the CPU is ok but i think the monitoring for the GPU is 'broken' as the temp never really rises above 43 degrees Celcius.

Any help is appreciated.

3 possible problems here~

1. Stealth mode was ON

2. You're not plugged in? hmm.gif

3. SEVERE THROTTLING ISSUE ohmy.gif

@Lil Kiasu
Stealth mode? Need to check back in that but if it is on even after restart, then that is the problem.

I am always plugged in when i played a game.

Throttling issues? How can i know if i have throtthling issue?

@ dark axl
I played the game on extreme setting before this thing happened. Now, even the lowest cant be played on

You'll notice it when you're gaming then a sudden drop in performance~

Anything less than a household nuclear reactor won't be sufficient. You remember Chernobyl - they tried running Quad SLI on a cheap PSU and look what happened~

the M11x lid cant fully closed to the palm rest. Is this problem leading to hinge problem?
*

Hmm.. i try to close it to minimum gap by exerting some force but when i release my hand, the lid goes back to same position again..

Hmm... could be an early sign I guess... not sure though since I didn't own the M11x... Perhaps you should ask the other M11x owners or ask a Dell technician to come? smile.gif

M11x R3 already? man im not going to change my R1 to R3 if the hinge design is still the same-esok-rosak thing.. i mean come on Dell, a machine that almost reach 3-4k price tag but unable to beat my Acer's 6 years old laptop's lid design? bahh..
*
But it's pretty tempting for me now~ hmm.gif Who knows I might just get this fella one day~ smile.gif

Hmm... M14x is for real eh~ tongue.gif

Alienware's M14x revealed: classic middle-child overachiever, none of the simmering sibling resentment

First, Alienware's M17x got a bit of spit and polish with a new Sandy Bridge CPU and a 3D display, then the M11x got Intel's speedy new silicon too. Now, the middle alien child has gotten a similar makeover. Christened the M14x, Alienware's newest portable rig has an Intel Core i7-2820QM 2.3 GHz CPU, up to a 750GB 7200RPM HDD, 256GB SATA2 or SATA3 SDD, a robust NVIDIA GT555M GPU, LTE or WiMAX connectivity, and your choice of 14-inch screens: either a 1366 x 768 display or a Full HD 1920 x 1080 LCD. Following its big brother's lead, the M14x also packs a pair of Klipsch speakers for hi-fi fragging. No word on when this mothership lands, but with those specs, we wouldn't mind making first contact -- would you?
