it's a sign of doom (for your lid). my m11x did not display any creaking sounds from the hinge, etc (usual signs that hinge is going to kaput), but it did not really close properly. at first i thought it's normal coz of the two rubber stoppers on the palm rest. soon my lid started squeaking whenever i open or close it.....the rest is history.

can't wait to change my M11x R1 to R3 version that will revealed soon!!

The R3 version i like to change my Core 2 Duo cpu to i5 Sandy Bridge version..
I like to change my GPU from GT335M to GT540M directx 11 support..
but they still use GDDR3 instead of GDDR5..damn!

don't know yet..have they already resolved the hinge problem with this R3 version..hmm

My m11x hinge still working fine... I use the white protection sheet come with the lappie for dividing the screen and keyboard when closing the lid.... I haven't check whether got gap or not... Will check out when free

no point of having ddr5 on a low end GPU.
For example, u have a wide high way for fast speed, but ur car is Kancil only, so no matter how big or how wide the high ways is, ur kancil still slow

haa..yes..GDDR5 is more power consumption for low voltage GPU laptop..

M11x R3 already? man im not going to change my R1 to R3 if the hinge design is still the same-esok-rosak thing.. i mean come on Dell, a machine that almost reach 3-4k price tag but unable to beat my Acer's 6 years old laptop's lid design? bahh..

I go check out dell website on m17x-r3, no more crossfire option? I thought crossfire or sli is signature of m17x? Can single gpu powerful enough to support full hd 3d screen?

Minimal, Mainstream, Gamer, Enthusiast... oh wai~ I haven't even got my hands on Crysis 2 yet~

i dont think is worth of getting the new M11x-R3, some how it is 2kg++, i rather get a 14"

Three settings, Advanced, Gamer and Hardcore. Sadly, there's only these presets but not individual options to be changed like the previous Crysis.

The new patch changes hardcore to Extreme, and it's much better now. There's some applications that let you change specific options: http://www.incrysis.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=33008
