QUOTE(Lil Kiasu @ Mar 27 2011, 12:46 PM) My laptop's acting up again... Upgraded to NV Driver v267.76 edi and some improvements in my gaming performance... but the GPU becomes sott once in a while with the screen becoming all white for a while or some flickerng etc~ C'mon la bloody lappie~!!! Don't tell me that I should stick to V197.16 all the time by sacrificing performance for stability~ thats why i just stick to my old, sweet GPU driver as i found out that its the most stable. i know newer will boost the performance, but too lazy and too busy to spend my time tweaking it

Just asking here guys, but have any of you started having trouble with crysis 2?
I have encountered massive stuttering while playing, and thats after I played it for a few levels and turned off the pc.
The temp that I got from the CPU is ok but i think the monitoring for the GPU is 'broken' as the temp never really rises above 43 degrees Celcius.
Any help is appreciated.

G51VX-A1 100'c still running well now since 2009

kira-kun Your video card in M17x-R3 is 2GB GDDR5 Radeon 6970. Wow, that is great. It should be more powerful than AMD HD 5850, HD 5870 and NVIDIA GTX 460M found in any M15x. I am so envy of you. This post has been edited by alvinkhorfire: Mar 28 2011, 12:08 PM

Have you tried using other apps to check the GPU temp? @putochip123: I think syafri88 is puzzled on why is his GPU temp is too low, not the other way around... I monitor the temp using GPU-Z and also Openhardwaremonitor( i think this is the app name, at work right now.) My problem right now is i am having trouble playing crysis 2. I already played a few levels already but right now, the whole game just stutters lile crazy. Anyone encounter this problem?

Reference for M11x hinge replacement. QUOTE The LCD Assembly includes the following parts - LCD, backcover, hinges, LVDS cable, camera, microphone,LCD Bezel, brackets
LCD Assembly 4FFHC replaced LCD Assembly 757TW LCD Assembly KKH9C replaced LCD Assembly 6CVDV LCD Assembly R2Y7G replaced LCD Assembly VT7K8 LCD Assembly YMM9R replaced LCD Assembly PKYMD LCD Assembly 40GMX replaced LCD Assembly GNJW3 LCD Assembly 8JJT2 replaced LCD Assembly YYYV5
What would help is if you would first take your service tag number and enter it here. Then, locate the LCD Assembly part number you purchased by clicking on Original System Configuration. Then, look at the chart above to see what your replacement LCD Assembly part number will be.
USA Customers Please contact Dell support at AWCC-Resolution_experts@dell.com * Give them your service tag number so they can look up the LCD Assembly purchased or use the above instructions to find the original and replacement part number * You will need to provide the service tag of the system, the address where the system is currently located, and two phone numbers where you can be reached in case of questions * Standard warranties will apply, so you may be asked to mail your system if your original contract was the “return to depot” variety * Once you have emailed Dell, you should be contacted within the next 5-7 business days to arrange the details of the repair * The USA only email address provided is set up to manage this LCD Assembly Hinge repair order only. Please contact Alienware Support 866-287-6727 for any other issues you may encounter with your system
NON-USA Customers * Contact Dell Support for your Region via phone or email * Give them your service tag number so they can look up the LCD Assembly purchased * Use the chart above to help them find the correct replacement part number * You will also need to provide the address where the system is currently located, phone number, email address, etc * Standard warranties will apply, so you may be asked to mail your system if your original contract was the return to depot variety
* Not all of these parts are in stock so make sure the technician checks your service tag in our tool before setting up the service! I do not have a timeline on when all the parts will be in stock. All you can do is keep checking with Dell Support in your region. As far as I know, this is a global initiative. It will take us some time to notify all Dell agents globally * Standard warranties will apply, so you may be asked to mail your system if your original contract was the “return to depot” variety * Once again, we at Dell apologize for the amount of time it took to get this fix ready to go * Also, all out of warranty M11x customers who have defective hinges ARE eligible for a one time fix to get the new designed hinges Source: http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienware-...-design-29.htmlThis post has been edited by rc2x: Mar 28 2011, 03:11 PM
