I'm a desire user but my fren's SGS got some problem to install custom rom.

Pls Help!!

His problem is after using superoneclick root i can now see Superuser. Then I isntall Rom Manager and do a back up and got this error

E: signature verification failed

Istalling Multi-CSC
Installation aborted.

Did some google, its because his phone is on recover 3e.

How do guys root a SGS which is on froyo 2.2?

with just superoneclick thats all?
no need busybox?

I'm still getting error code in recovery

Is it because of the Rom Manager?

In the recovery, (volume up + home + power button) then i choose apply sdcard:update.zip

Got this error code:

E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:singature verification failed

Installation aborted



Fyi, I can see "Android system recovery <3e> "
at the top

Is that the problem??

Tried z4root still at 3e.

How do i return to 2e when I can't install anything in recovery?

Does that mean you guys are on 2e?

Finally get rid of 3e i guess since I'm able to enter ClockWorkMod to do backup.

Just helping my fren out, which rom do you prefer? Darky's v8.0 Gingerbread?
