anyone of u guys use BLN Control Pro?
mine got problem where it will blink around 3 to 4 times after received a sms/miss call.. then it will keep the LED on even i've turn off the "LED after blinking finished" option..

anyone exp the same prob?
*
Have u tried delete /dbdata/databases/neldar.bln.control.pro folder? If problem persist, i believe u are using the older version of bln control pro. The current one (0.9.4 alpha) fixed that led problem.

Glad it helped! U just need to remember that if ANY software that u use didn't properly saved the setting that u applied earlier, try to delete the folder under dbdata/databases/nameOFprogram

hi guy...do u all got enable the BLN?? i enable it, i tried to receive sms and missed call...nothing happen...sad.gif
*
Supposedly when u have enabled it, the led should lights up when u received sms. Have u tried to restart ur phone after enabled it? For a better control, I suggest u to use software to enable/disable bln. Its called BLN Control(free ver). The pro version (paid ver) allowed u to customized the blinking led, missed call notification and few other features. Search it in market!

hi..
want to clarify something..
a lot of sgs seller at lowyat.net

how do i know the warranty of the phone..
he's hold the phone around 1 month but never send the warranty card..
so.. how long the warranty ... to be exact?
did the warranty started when sgs user send the card to samsung?

for nokia.. you can check by using *#92702689# to check the lifetime of the phone.. how can i check for android?

i need some help..

regards..
*
Hi. Unfortunately, there is no way one can tell the lifetime of the phone in android. Only thing u can check is the manufacturing date of the cellphone. Regarding to the warranty, it only started when samsung received your warranty card, either through physical card or samsung online registration. Just to be safe, send both and call their hotline customer service for confirmation of your registration. U will also received the e-warranty, which is basically a text message confirming that u have registered the product. Can be used for rma purpose (just show them the sms, no need to bring warranty card.) Hope this helps!

Well u need to enable 2e button recovery to use the file. For odin, u can use the same file, just need to extract 'modem.bin' and put it under 'phone'. Dont forget to unchecked for repartition. Also the rest of the field should be left untick (except for the phone).

Like i said, u need to extract the modem.bin from the file. Open the file>updates>modem.bin Select the modem.bin for phone and u are ready to go! No need to use tar although it is a zip file. Odin can recognize .tar, .md5 and .bin files. So no need to worry k!

just now i try..it din move at all >.< in the end i have to reflash the whole firmware
*
Hi. I really don't know where u did wrong. Maybe details please? I've tested it just now and it works. If u haven't flashed through odin before, u need to familiarize on how it works though. Btw im using odin 1.3.

I think it is better to flash using CWM than odin. It is very hard to make a mistake if you go that route. Next time, make sure you have 2e recovery. If you don't, flash the cf-root to get back 2e recovery.
*
Well basically both also requires u to use odin. So either is he installing 2e recovery or trying to install modem requires him to go through odin. But its true, flashing with 2e enabled is much easier (but still not fool proof).

wonder is it ok for stock dxjpe which is 2.2 to flash a 2.2.1 xxjpy modem? can someone teach me the process to use odin to flash modem only? without losing any data...i failed b4 once and had to re-flash the whole firmware
*
Hi. I think i know where u did wrong. As i mentioned before, u need to extract modem.bin from the .zip file. U dont use the whole .tar file. Let say u wanted to use xxjpy modem.
1. Download XXJPY_Modem.zip from this link
2. Using winrar/winzip/7zip, open the file
3. Open updates. There u will find 2 files. Modem.bin and redbend_ua
4. Extract modem.bin to any desired location (eg. desktop)
5. Open odin, under phone section, browse for the modem.bin. It will automatically tick for the phone section.
6. Pit, re-partition, pda, csc, dump, phone efs clear and phone bootloader update should be left untick
7. From your phone, u need to enter download mode (vol down+home+power button)
8. Now connect your phone to computer
9. The computer will detect you hp (under ID:COM). Now all u need is to press start and wait till the whole process finished
10. When its done, your hp will reboot automatically and u can remove it from the cable.
11. For confirmation, u can enter *#1234#. If u managed to fully flashed the rom, your phone should be showing I9000XXJPY.

If u find it too difficult, i suggest u to install 2e recovery as mentioned by our fellow forumers. Its only a one time process and later if u wanted to install custom rom or flash different modem, no need to use odin. U can enter directly through recovery mode and flashed your desired .zip file.

Good to hear that!

@holypredator
Have u tried different modem? When i was in dxjpe, the gps connection is not so good. Barely get the reception but cannot lock in. After upgrading to jpx/jpy/jpu modem, the gps seems to be working much better. Different phone might required different setup.

yea But if i off the DATA... it Will never lock .. GUARENTEED...
*
Its all depends on ur location; stationary or moving, inside building or outside, current weather, wear a casing for ur hp, the way u hold the hp and etc. I never use data (a-gps) to get gps lock. Normally it takes roughly around 3min to 5min to get first lock. It depends also on ur modem. Different modem setup will produce different result.

A-gps normally used data (gprs, edge, 3g) to get connected. U can also used wifi (only works with google navigation i guess) to get connected, but not so accurate. If u want a fast gps lock, use agps first to get initial lock. After u get the lock, disable it and use gps only.

The positioning server has effect only on the agps. If u use normal gps, changing the server wont give u a better conection on gps. Ive tested them already.

But still, the gps can still get locked even without data (agps off). Mine is working fine, and so do others. Try different method to get the best result.
