Speedmod K10L is at test3 version now, quite stable so far. Latest firmware as far as I am concerned is Android 2.2.1 XXJPY firmware (Europe).

You probably have to use ODIN to flash back to stock firmware, which will wipe and factory reset everything. Not 100% sure because it's been months since I used OCLF and I have never used Kies before.

Where did you get the dxjpb? depending on the content of the file, you require odin or CWM. It is not interchangeable unless you modify it a bit.

Alright, do you have 2e recovery and the modem.bin file? You can find out about recovery version by going to recovery mode. (Shutdown, press volume down+home button + power button)

edit: IC. You downloaded that from samfirmware.com is it? Then, just use odin to flash the modem part. If you go back several pages, there's a fellow forumer who taught how do do this.

I haven't done this before because I always felt that using CWM route is safer. However:

Put it in phone part. others blank. no repartion. Have you backed up all you apps and files?

Contacts --> gmail sync
Apps+Data --> Titanium Backup / MyBackup Pro
Settings --> don't backup. lol..

I'm using darkys 8.0 and speedmod k12p 500hz, but my gps is still problematic, takes about 2 minutes to lock. Which modem should I use to fix this problem?

Nope.... ive tested GPS just now on the road...
I now officialy gave up one SGS GPS .....
I tested it from Sunway all the way up to KL ... from Jalan tun razak to KLCC to SG wang ....
It never get a LOCK at all ....
I dont get it .... at my room ... it can lock in less than 30 sec..... but just now ive tested it is totaly unusable...

Have you realy tested it ON THE ROAD??? KL area etc.....

Of course if based on my test @ my room ... the GPS looks like it doesnt have any problem at all.... but on the road.... 
Since we uses the same firmware + same kernal and everything .... my guess is you never tried it beyond ur comfort area ...

I mostly use GPS on the road. Jln Tun Razak is my most use road in fact, every weekdays I need to commute there.

Are you using Papago!X5? There is a problem with Papago, sometimes it cannot initiate the GPS on SGS. When u minimize papago, you'll notice that the GPS icon on the notification bar is not there. Not sure why, maybe the app itself. That is why you'll see the satellite in papago blinking all the time.

If I use Waze or Aura or googlemap, the GPS initiates instantly.

No... i use GPS Status to try to get a lock ....
It cant lock at all ..... 
i dont understand why it able to lock at my room no problem ... in less than 30 sec with accuracy 10-15meter......
But just now... drive whole way through ... cant lock ... not even once.... and ive even tried Reboot over and over...

Are you trying to lock GPS while on the move or static? GPS locking is poor when you are moving at speed. Have you tried to lock it during static before you drive?

Your results here also gel with me. It locks in faster whn stationary than moving.

be sure to use the file i posted, i can lock less than 5 seconds, with 5m accuracy

SOmeone told me A-GPS is the "Use Wireless Network" setting...
But now it seems like a diff case.... now it seems like Normal GPS also uses Data....
Next week have to do a test on my usual spot without any data ....
With the Old firmware... i can get lock @ my usual spot without data (and thats about it... dont know why that area can get lock easily one).... The Darky Rom seem to be able to lock fast if theres DATA but doesnt seem to lock at all without DATA>.... 

Not sure about batt drain, so far Darky's ROMs have been better than stock for me. 9.0.2 feels slightly quicker than 8.1.

Nope. I didn't wipe because I was coming from Darky 8.1. Market app is there and works just fine.

Anyway, it's no trouble to download vending apk and installing it if market is indeed missing..

Yes to your first question. For second question, nothing much you missed, but I think you will need to enable the speedmod kernel tweaks again after Darky 9.0.2 installation (assuming you chose Speedmod in the configurator app). That's what worked for me.
