Flashed my K10 to K12N yesterday. Loved the newly tuned auto-brightness feature.

If they could make it like the iOS4 one even better. Still can adjust brightness level when auto has been enabled. Now I still find that the screen a tad too bright under office fluorescent lights.

like seriously, our sgs only got 480p of video recording?? not 720p pula?
*
It's 720p. Though there was a discussion on this, but later it was tentatively concluded that 480 setting used in the config file was referring to the video preview resolution to fit the screen resolution.

@holypredator
You just have to enable DATA for A-GPS to work. Otherwise, wait 10 mins for it to lock. smile.gif

Disable all sync, logout from Gmail/Latitude if you are afraid the data usage. A-GPS needs a least GPRS for it to works.

So, after all the ranting, it was down to user's problem eh?

SOmeone told me A-GPS is the "Use Wireless Network" setting...
But now it seems like a diff case.... now it seems like Normal GPS also uses Data....

Dey, Data = Wireless Network, Wireless Network = Data.

normal gps dont use data... just off ur data and wifi... only turn on gps and it's possible to lock.

that;s how papago works... offline gps..
*
That's not the true definition of "offline GPS". A-GPS doesn't mean that it's "online GPS". The reason there's the term of "offline GPS" is because the map was pre-loaded or you don't need to be online to stream the map data, like Google Navigation. Aside from that, Google Navigation requires you do be online for you to search for places, eventhough you have cached the map area.

So, A-GPS or not, nothing to do with being online/offline GPS.

SEE GUYS??? thats what i mean...
ALot people here dont GET WHAT I MEAN .....
I get fast lock through DATA .. but without using the "USE WIRELESS NETWORK" option...
i know many of you kept assuming i DID ....
I did not USE ANY AGPS bullshit .... i just use the NORMAL GPS option ... but for somereason .... the DATA helps it to lock ...
*
Since you are so unsatisfied with your GPS function.

I just did a test by disabling "Use wireless network", but Wifi was on. Somehow managed to get lock in <1min.

This is not accurate of course, because "Use wireless network" was enabled previously and my approximate location has been captured.

But anyhow, just to let you know, it stated there that UWN means it would take advantage of wifi/data to get your phone's approximate location. By wifi means, a wifi connection that has internet connection, where your location would be reported back to Google, not some bogus wifi that has no internet access.

Anyway, I tested this inside my room via the LBSTest thing. I think it's fine.

Miren Browser is slow in loading, and it suka suka redirects to Baidu website.

You all better be careful. The Android virus was allegedly leaked from China apps.
