Anyone using Nokia Ovi suite? I have some question here.

Let say i sync my contacts from phone>pc (nokia ovi suite), then i made some changes of contact in Nokia Ovi Suite, how do i find the option to sync from phone to pc, or pc to phone?

I made some changes of contacts in pc, and now i want to keep the contact list in pc, therefore i wanted to sync the correct one which is in the pc to phone. I couldnt find the option to choose which list to sync. Once i click sync, the nokia ovi suite automatically sync from Phone to PC (keeping the phone's contact list)

Please help to clear my doubts. Thanks

To be simple -> How to sync from PC to Phone (Wanting Pc's contact list) using Nokia OVI suite ?

If you made the changes in the PC copy of the contacts , just delete all the contacts from the handphone and synchronize with the PC again.

You sure it wont sync from phone to PC ? Then my phone book would be gone by then. I'll give a shot later.

Just make sure that you have solid backup before proceed with your plan.

There is nothing to sync with your phone since you delete the contacts already...

Because it was all these while pressing the button of sync, automatically the program copy everything in phone replacing everything in PC. And there's no option for it to sync and which copy to keep/replace.

Your solid backup meaning is the backup using Ovi Suite yea? Where its file extension is .nbu

If i am not mistaken, the sync should include both side changes. The PC sync with the phone first, then later sync back to the handphone with the existing contacts.

For me, solid backup includes online ovi sync backup. The .nbu is also should be sufficient ald.Just take the.nbu file to off site backup like copying into the pen drive, just in case anything happens to any handphone or laptop.

In your case, you edited the all the contacts you wanted in the PC right?

Just mark all the contacts in the handphone, then delete all the contacts. Later sync with the PC and all the edited contact should be in the handphone.

Happy synchronizing.....  icon_rolleyes.gif

I tried syncing my contacts without deleting the contacts in my phone now, and OVI suite keep crashed. I couldnt sync at all. I dont know what happened, earlier this noon still able to sync. Maybe i try updating the ovi suite tmr.

Btw, at ovi store, we can download themes from there right? I tried to dwl via wifi ovi store , cannot. I tried using the ovi website in pc, and ask them to send to my mobile, but i never get anything from them. My mobile stated there is +6016XXX XXXX. Even i tried to manage my device and ask them to send the settings for sync settings, also cannot. So i tried the manual way ,theres no way i can find what do they mean.

Anyone out there have this problem? How to solve it?

Many thanks.
