did you use 3G frequently?if you don't you can switch tools>settings>connectivity>network>network mode>from dual mode to GSM..it will save your battery..then you can adjust your screen brightness as low as you can..try it for test..and give result to me..thanks..

@phadly: i use dual mode because maxis here crazy...

sometime GSM network died for 1-2hours... last february happened a lot!...

and i need 3G coz of video calls!

dual mode consume more energy than gsm only... that is for sure...

@phadly - found out that your vortex and most off the cfw realesed from other maker always need to flash mmc or delete sys, private, system folder for best result... for now i just stick to original c6 cfw from pnht (with some mod added) coz this realease don't need to format or delete sys, private, system folder... means most app don't need to reinstall, all song detected properly and less bugs (found a bugs and solved by restart only)...

i just wanna ask why is vortex and others need to format mmc for best result?

i got 1 app running in the background (EMail).
It can lasts 1day only.
FYI, I select GSM mode.
i set the screen brightness to lower and will turn it to 50% under sunny light.

*I haven't format the memory card.

I had a problem with the language pack in my 5800xm >.<
I upgraded my firmware few months ago, and it wiped off my Chinese language pack. I had bear it for many months, and now I heard of changing the product code may make me re-gain the Chinese language pack. Which product codes have Chinese? I have been searching through the net but I still can't get it. >.<

My product code is: 0573860 (it only has english and philipino)
Firmware: v50.0.007
Type: RM-356

actually if want to recover bricked phone u can use JAF too
but it is not recommended if want to revert back to original firmware

original firmware better go for phoenix..

Is easy change back to malaysia's products code.
or download the firmware that has malaysia's product code and flash it using JAF

I tried the code 0573786, but nothing is changed too. I'm not sure whether my steps is correct.

-->Launch OGM_JAF_PKEY
-->Press "Go"
-->Come out a box and clicked "ok", and this launched JAF
-->Go to the tab "BB5", tick "prod. Manager"
-->Click "service"
-->Click "Read Values"
--> Change product code, the click "write values"

what's the next step? Just exit JAF? need to restart phone?
