Hi,

I encountering some bugs on the garmin. Not sure whether you guys having the same problem. Happen to both of my 5800 so far.

When we wan to search for a place / address or POI, when we key in the names, assuming we have symbols to enter in such as slash, full stop , comma, exclamation mark etc, we will need to press the STAR key on the keypad to get the new layout for a list of symbols to choose. After we choose the symbol already it just doesnt go away, it will continue on the symbol selection screen unless we restart our phone. Anyone encounter this problem before? Any solutions?

hehehe... i'm cinsidered a new owner too... using 5800 for a month only and flash to c6 cfw edi...

yes,garmin mobile xt has this bug that we couldnt key in special character in the seaching bar...i dun see there is any solution yet, just avoid using symbol and i guess u dun have to key in the name of place that precisely to search?? u can always kill the garmin mobile xt program by holding the menu key, dun need restart phone that tedious.

tq... now using ori pnht c6, but i add a few thing to the original released...

for gps i use both, ovi maps is easy to use but the map is less detail than garmin... i use garmin most of the time, got an up to date map and poi from mfm...

ovi maps is less details, garmin have a lot POI. u can get it at malfreemaps website.

But garmin look like got a little bit delay when using.

Did you on the AGPS function for it?

how come my phone at right top have a message symbol blinking after I off my phone ??? I restart the phone is the same ... Anyone know how to fix it ?
