Hello, I'm new here and I want to ask which home entertainment system is better for beginners.

For me I prefer the PC but the reason I'm asking is that I'm buying for my dad who has not touched a computer for a while.

I see that AC Ryan and WD TV has gained quite a following here but I wonder which has an easier learning curve (easy to use) and better user experience.

And also, is it possible to surf the web and check emails on those?

Mostly, he wants to play downloadable content which is the main priority.

And also, are there any legal sites for download?
