i used to get crossroad, hippo 10, Klipschs4, ajays 3 from jaben (all broken d TT) n now im using brainwaz m1, need an upgrade.. can u recommend me (budget max rm300). i usually listen to different kind of music...mostly metal, core, hiphop, rap, need clear vocal, and bass. im using cube c30 or galaxy s 2 as my music device. i want to go audition it myself, but for now im a lil bit far from jaben... each kind of material of cable serves a purpose in sound characters, hongrui taught me but i forgot how d, he has gold silver and copper cables, and each are different in sounds IMO

don't bother about it if you're not serious about cable myths.

only bother if your cable starts to have problems. then go for it.

it depends on people, sometimes it does good to your earphone. sometime it makes things worse, most of the time people couldn't notice any difference

but generally silver gives better conductivity in electricity... so you'd probably get better clarity and cleaner trebles with tighter bass
copper on the other hand makes things slightly fuzzy

don't even bother about gold cables though~ conductivity for gold is worse compared to copper (but it's small so watevs)

Hi, there is definitely a purpose of this little silver cable. As what the people on top says, it compensate the weakness that IE8 has. Slightly weak on details, bass a bit smudge into mids, and dark sounding is what I feel on IE8. Silver cable will make your IE8 more neutral sounding, if that's what you seek.
