Ah do not care la. As long as we survived Tottenham nightmare. Am glad that my lovely idol, Vida was terrific as he always have. He likes to fly yo. OMG look at the replay where he flies to block VDV's header. Sexy.

I have no problem with Dean sending off Rafael actually but it was more annoying when everyone seems always claiming that Mike dean is always biased to United. Remember the pundits on channel 817 before the game last night. shakehead.gif annoying him claiming Dean is United's fan.

and yet still that pessimism towards tom.well gotta hand it to you, gibson gets on your good books but not tom laugh.gif.

anywho the chamberlain kid says he wants to impress this saturday, so will they play him??or has he been a regular all along??
*
Tommy was good when he plays 1 to 2 games continuously but i don't think his performance is consistent if he plays regularly. This will hurt most United fan but put him in teams like West Ham or Everton regularly, he will be a great goalkeeper for those team.

hmm i see nervy few days for both sides while we play our cup game wakakakak.

"to go or not to go"~~ tongue.gif
disagree there.he saved our asses quite often when the defense should be on the job.i dont know why he gets the 100% blame.anyway with vds retiring the chance is the for a gk who knows the club in and out and for a gk who is quite unknown and what he can/cant do.
*
Er, actually, I never blamed him, in fact i never blamed any United players whenever we were fucked up. Kalau rajin, check all my previous posts tongue.gif Yup he saves our asses a few times of course if he did not, he will be the first player that i blame on laugh.gif, but that only proves that he did his job as a goalkeeper. If he plays for us regularly, he needs to do more than just 'saves our asses'. Mmm perhaps he himself should convince people like me, Wan and SAF (?) is one of them?

he certainly has gained his boses trust since he still there and ready to take over if our #1 isnt available.thats more important then you or my approval. biggrin.gif

Bro, 3 reasons:

1. If he is that good, err.. if SAF trusts him, he would definitely been given more chances than Edwin considering Edwin's age.

2. And if he is that good, oops, if SAF trusted him, Edwin doesn't have to play until age 40. It's quiet similar to Lehmann - Almunia situation in Arsenal but it just that Wenger was more trusted Almunia than Lehmann (other way round compared to Tommy's situation). There might be a factor why SAF still uses Edwin as first choice GK (One of the reasons i can think of is, like i said (did i? can't remember) partnership with Nemanja and Rio was as smooth as traffic condition in KL without traffic jam, literally)

3. If SAF trusted him to be the replacement of Edwin, SAF would not purchase Lindegaard and his interest on Sketenburg or De Gea. Let's take example situation before Lindegaard is here.

Before:
a) VDS
b) Tommy
c) Amos, Ben - A promoted GK from academy proved that we did not have to purchase anyone due to VDS's to be the only trusted first choice GK with a very good backup goalkeeper like Tommy behind VDS

After:
a) VDS - Still the first choice despite the age
b) Tommy - Still warms the bench seats.
c) Lindegaard - ??? Donno what he's doing here... currently, think about it. SAF has better plans ahead.
d) Another GK rumours - Why do we need another goal keeper

Next season probably:
a) Stekenburg / De Gea or Lindegaard
b) Stekenburg / De Gea or Lindegaard.
c) VDS - Retired.
d) Tommy - Where the heck he want to sit down at? Unless out for loan n another club or a permanent move for good. Aston Villa or Everton might suits him well.

edited: Sketenburg not Stekenburg. Damn why our GK/future GK's name so damn long one and hard to spell one? sweat.gif

Damn sweat.gif

I always mistaken these:

Schmeichel as Schemeicel

and

Kuszczak as Kuszchack

and

Van Der Sar as Van DE Sar

Edit: I vote for De Gea instead of Stekelenburg. Easier to spell lol tongue.gif

QUOTE(mhyug @ Jan 29 2011, 08:19 PM)
if according to what you say, then lindergard is just as same as tom, bought just to be the so called "back up".
i.e if were going to buy some one else to be #1.lindergaard will be doing the same bench warming act, might as well simpan tom, proven and tested.
*
Looks like so, so far if Tommy decides to leave. Like Wan said, we need to see how's he perform in the remaining games before the end of season. We will have the times to see whether he's a bad purchase or the otherwise or similar to Tommy.

QUOTE
if the such clubs youve said he can excel there of course some other top club including us will look and say "now thats a good keeper" why??because he is performing, just some thing similar to how we bought vds from fulham.fulham were still languish every from relegation to mid lower table when he was there so does that mean he wasnt fit for us then just because he can excel there??NO since we bought him because of the quality he brings even tho at a lower club.more or the same for tom or anybody.

Other reason than what i mentioned could be hmm let's see.. bad timing for Tommy maybe? Edwin came here, played games and he proved to be the one who was very consistent n his performances. Gained SAF's confidence and became the regular GK. Besides SAF was his secret admire back then since his Juve's day lol. Tommy otherwise, yes. he's good and performing and he's quality but unfortunately VDS is good in every way and VDS's resume is slightly impressive than Tommy. Sian him.

QUOTE
i dont think you can add up the age factor here.vds has gone against the norm when it comes to age, just as how scholes an d giggs is doing, so age must not be  counted.vds still performing like or should i say BETTER then the names youve posted above thus the harder for tom or any degeas or burgs to beat him.a

Agree but in my personal opinion, if Nemanja - Rio partnership isn't there, VDS's situation most probably different compared to today.

QUOTE
thus my reason for believing he has his managers trust, else dah lama he would have left some thing similar like foster.you should know better our gaffers isnt the type to hold down players career, if he thinks they deserve the move he will approve them, and if he thinks their services are still needed here he will give his sagely advise to them to build their confidence and serve us.
Bro, of course he hold down players like Tommy because next to him, we have nothing literally.

It s just my personal opinion. No offense intended har. Don't remove me from my friend list pulak lol. Neh, i do't thnk you would do that lol. Just kidding icon_rolleyes.gif

*
I never was here to discuss about VDS's retirement intentionally. it just that i love to talk about United's goalkeeper's situation.

QUOTE
we all will brace for the fact were going to miss him, but there is a bigger job now and here and i bet the big man himself will want us to do the same.after May we can shed that last tears and good bye's and homage to the flying dutchman wch he dully deserves!! notworthy.gif

After that i want a testimonial match for Edwin. I want him to play in striking role. See whether he can shoot the ball or not. LOL

Donno why. I am really 100% confident that we will seal Stekelenburg's deal in any moment from now. The same feeling that i had before they announced that we have bought Nani and Anderson.
