QUOTE(victorboy @ Feb 5 2006, 05:58 PM) wow... Yeah, its for notebooks and other stuffs....A Lot of pockets and compartments in there. The skin is waterproof and padded well. Adjustable straps and hip contact pads for weight managements. You can carry heavy things in this and your shoulders don't feel the strain... army's bag... ready for combat!!! very nice design but the colour and pattern lok like turtle shell is this for the notebook? I Admit the colours are a bit dodgy but its really very nice in the flesh. The turtle look is many due to the camera angle..... Other Colour types not available here..... ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by julchin_09: Feb 5 2006, 10:01 PM |

QUOTE(Shinigami @ Feb 5 2006, 10:59 PM) I thought u got the new model... somebody told me it's out... the price even higher this time... RM700++... being an epic fan, i might just get it too... p/s: errr... regarding our NIKE EPIC GRAPHIC, does it actually comes with any warranty??? because the tag only says valid in America only... Anyway I've scouted for new ones and they aren't any but NIKE has made some new Lappy BackpackS with the same concept of weight management like the EPIC. It looks really nice and lighter than the EPIC as it doesn';t have the hard shell but instead a built in frame to retain the mould of the bag. Its slightly cheaper at RM300 and has lotsa pockets......Saw it at AL-IKHSAN when I got mine... P:S If they would have been a new EPIC going for RM700..I would Never think about getting itV |

Oh, is it the gutter string which tightens your bag by pulling it over the zips and hooking it to the top portion? That can tear so easily?

QUOTE(Shinigami @ Feb 6 2006, 02:43 PM) The gutter string is strong... it's the small hole with that little metal thingy... that metal thingy got torn apart. I guess somebody might have pulled the string a lil bit too rough... Oh...so your bag still functions lar....its just the metal thing which prevents the fabric from tearing has broken right??? Well I will heed your advice. Just that I feel the shoulder straps are prone to creases. When I got mine there were only 2 units and both had some creases. I picked the one with the least lines on the shoulder strap. After using yours for Months now, how bad are the lines on YOUR shoulder strap? P:S on another note, if you search GOOGLE iMages for NIKE EPIC/NIKE EPIC GRAPHIC You will see that some parts of the bag are not the same as the ones we get here. For example the net thingy which you can take out have 8 hooks on it as opposed to 7 on ours. And on the back portion of the bag which keeps in contact on our backs. The ones we get here have 2 huge shoulder pad which protrudes to minimise contact and provide airflow. The ones on google have 2 S shapes facing each other on some glossy like fabric. Other deails the same.... Did you notice this Shinigami? |

QUOTE(Shinigami @ Feb 6 2006, 06:50 PM) Yeah i did and i kinda like the black one... regarding the padding, i believe ours is better (theirs sure sweat if u carry long time) even though ours not better looking... I also kinda like our Dual-adjustable lumbar "S" panel better... better in design. I See, so you noticed too...Well I was just wondering if ours can be counted as BioKNX technology? Cos I read the review of the other EPICS and its stated that you can adjust the curvature of the back of the bag os something like that...Are the ones here FAKES??? Or a redone design? ![]() I agree with you the padding on ours is better as you really feel the minimal contact. As for Lumbar S panel, did you mean the 2 contact points at the hips with the netting? |

i see....Thats why all those mambo-jumbo got me searching as the NIKE Tag which came with the EPIC just read EPIC and didn't come with an additional TAG inside with BioKNX written on it like in this pic below...And I think the 2 S shapes at the back portions are the lumbar thingy......

QUOTE(Shinigami @ Feb 13 2006, 03:46 PM) How bout the BioKnX acg backpacks??? how much was it??? how's the design??? can u get some photos from the net for me??? What lar.....Lazy fella.....Okie I will post these which If I remember correctly were selling at NIKE midValley for Around RM250. But bear in Mind they are nice, cool and have a lot of adjustable strings/belts/pockets....but not very good for carrying notebooks...the BioKNX for these bags include lumbar surve adjustments and volume adjustments like the EPIC to keep goods stored nearest to the body....Hell a lot of adjutsble stuffs...just waht guys like playing around with.... ![]() ![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(omelette @ Feb 14 2006, 01:17 AM) Sling bags looks kinda nice... especially the Dicota Pep Up, but Crumpler Laptop Bags are too expensive Yeap, I would say that the Nike Epic is more to the expensive side....Nike is selling theirs for RM599 and the New one for RM759... however... on second thought.. sling bags are tiring to carry around. My sling bag put books also tiring. Sling bags not so practical?? These backpacks that u guys are discussing are kinda expensive eh? Nike Epic costs RM400~500? Hmm... verry out of budget. Targus has lifetime warranty which is a pretty good plus point. So far i feel that TARGUS ®EVOLUTION Rucksack is the prettiest of all Targus backpacks. Most backpacks can fit larger notebooks?? eg: 15.4" notebook? Anyway I used it for travelling with my notebook and electronics inside plus some clothes. It turned out fine and I didn't have strained shoulders. The weight to hip transfer works and helps even/share the load..... |

hmmm...how bout the ERGO backpacks currently selling here as idragon....you should be able to spot them in skater shops in Bukit bintang area. I've been using one for 2 years and its good to lug around, but it lacks the interior volume of the EPIC plus it doesnt have that many pockets for my liking. But it does stir some attention when it comes to being trendy....

Yup. The newer design is a bit more special as the hard part of it is engraved with black line. Makes it look like a piece of art....go NIKE MidValley Megamall....Right at the back where the bags section is. Both current EPICs on display.....

QUOTE(lgs @ Feb 25 2006, 12:46 PM) If want somethings practical and nice go for Targus (life-time warranty) Well, depends on the person really. If you going to travel a lot, your Epic wIll get dirty anyway and after a while its usual. Just the periodic cleanup...not an everydaything...... nice and not very pricey go for Dicota and some other like STM .... but if just want good design sure is Nike Epic , but the price you pay is so .... backpack is use to protect laptop ,but after u buy Nike Epic , u need to protect ur backpack also .....,bc its very easy to dirty -.-,and after dirty it have no value ... |

QUOTE(phobian @ Feb 26 2006, 04:11 PM) Dark coloured? PVC coated exterior isnt it? Was at the Curve yesterday and checked out the new Epic. My eyeballs almost pop out when I saw the price tag. A whopping 200 extra from the older Epic. When I turned around, saw another Nike backpack. Like u guys said, dark coloured. But as for the price, saw the price tag of RM379. Interested to get this one if there is any available within the region of RM250. Hence, would appreciate it if u guys can share whereabout to get it for the price mentioned. |

If I remember correctly, the NIKE Lappie backpack was selling for around RM270. It has a small resemblance to the NIKE EPIC cos of its build and has about the same volume but a lot of pockets....That was a nice bag....Saw at al-ikhsan....Try and check this out....also dark coloured....The New Epic looks like its made more for gals IMO....
