Just a quick Intel noob question since I just couldn't find anything related to what I want to know.

Can a locked SB use faster memory divider? For example i5-2400, can it be run at faster memory speed, or is the memory divider also locked? I know running faster memory speed barely does anything to improve performance, just asking though.
