how to run on "Diagnostic Environment"? is it the one with updated LinX. hmm.gif

and i wondering, why there's one lowest temperature reading quite low if you check the screenshot.

Overclocking is certainly new challenge on Sandy-Bridge.

2600k, Asrock Z68 Extreme4.

Achievement: 4.6GHz, CPU voltage Level 1, 1.320v (+0.012v turbo).....
sustained 4.6GHz 100% stress @ around 115W@ max around 85C,
idle @25C, ambient 22-23C

Might try dropping the CPU voltage and upping the turbo ramping voltage..
what cooling solutions you're using?

nice score u have there...how did u do yr push n pull? i have h70 i put my my both fan blowing outside..is that push n pull?
push-pull fan configuration is like "sandwiching" your cooler (in your case; radiator), just like the pictar.

this one using Corsair H50

doh.gif any idea how to manually "upping" the VCore with small increment? i mean, i miss the one with +0.05Vcore increment instead of the one with currently on Asus P8Z68-V Pro sad.gif

i managed to boot successfully on 4.9GHz @1.440VCore, but 19/20 of LinX, BSOD doh.gif laugh.gif

1st attempt using manual overvoltage, not using the LLC (i set to Ultra High though).

4.8GHz (100 x48), 1:6 DRAM
BIOS VCore : 1.4500, on load CPUz : 1.448

what i don't understand, why the temperature reading on different got so much differences? i mean, if ±1-2°C ok la, but up to 8°C~10°C...?

u running on W7 SP1 bro?
yeap, why? i think i hit the maximum clock (without tweak much though). i tried 4.9GHz won't pass the LinX (4-5 instances and BSOD).

in the BIOS easier, no OS freezing (unless too push to the limits)

overclocking need to be patient, increase with small increment and do the stability test, back in 2005/2006, only can do Prime95 which is time consuming, now, can just use LinX, it's fast and pass the 20 run tests, considered stable already. icon_idea.gif

Not really for me.. I can pass 50 runs of linx but still bsod after long time using it
well then, i think it's your other hardware related causing the BSOD, it could the heating RAM, graphic card or other causes

QUOTE(selfdz87 @ Jul 10 2011, 04:15 PM)
yeah,me too....pass 20 linX is enuf for my daily usage... smile.gif
im not a hard core gamer or do folding @ home...
but linX in W7 SP1 really give me a headache... sweat.gif
what's with W7 SP1? that voltage reading? because i never use on W7 non-SP1

just to be on safe side, i'd go for 1.450 VCore for 4.8GHz (i7 2600K) running. load temp on LinX was ±90°C and 3hrs game, ranging from 70°C to 85°C ~ without air-cond running. i think it's all right for ThermalRight Venomous X Black with push-pull 120mm fan.

@stasio
done with updating latest BETA BIOS for my P8Z68-V Pro... nothing new, nothing difference, it's just claimed to be "better stability" BIOS.

nothing new bro?no improvement at all?reduce vcore or what so ever?
if thats the case ill better stick with current bios....
on the shell, no, i haven't got a chance to test with new BIOS on LinX, later i'll update, at this moment, kind of busy with work.

whoah, i is jealous ok. 5GHz at 1.500VCore kaaa? what VCore you set on BIOS?

nah, the temp no need to worrylah... mine always whenever on full load LinX testing, 98 degrees most of the time.

watercooled bro... smile.gif
1.5v bios...1.496v load(cpu-z)
98c cpu speed not throttle down?
98°C, yes throttled down, that's what i hate it when it happens... at first i thought, whoah, stable... but then looking at the LinX GFlops... doh.gif, why is the reading fluctuates.

i think it's time for me to migrate to watercooling solution after; lol... i never tried watercooling before... doh.gif laugh.gif.
