Death is possible but hardly seen. Normally is due to condensation during LN2, improper power phase control on mobo taken together with cpu. Disabling cores at high voltage for long term also can kill cpu.

Degradation is more possible, due to long term torturing with high temp n voltage.

Ic, your machine usually running at OC speed or just for benchmarking purpose?
I think my i7 facing degradation or might other hardware.. Not sure yet~

Wow wow aww, 5Ghz tuh weii~

Btw, I can see the voltage kinda high, does it affecting the temperature of the chip? Or this chip really run much cooler compare to older i7?

doh.gif laugh.gif, i know it's hot, this "hot" temperature been haunting me since Athlon64 3000+ era.

no, i didn't disable the EIST thingy, C1E and any other power saving option, should i?
*
You should run LinX with Diagnostic Environment. The temp. seems familiar, same with my i7 920 + TRUE tongue.gif

Is your machine Overclock? If yes, it might unstable(the setting), or some conflict on OS & display issue..
