Hey anyone ever tried on stock setting OC? *say only change multiplier leave everything else stock. using Hyper 212+ here.

How high Mhz on average we can get for 2500k? I know it chip dependent but would like the average number.

May be TS should post this setup in first post or I am missing something? smile.gif tongue.gif

Hey guys, this is very strange,

I change only these setting on Asus Sabertooth Mobo, BIOS 1253 with 2500K + Hyper 212+

Asus UeFi settings

Ai Overclock Tuner - Manual
BCLK/PEG Frequency - 100
Turbo Frequncy - Enabled
By All Cores (Can Adjust In OS)
Turbo Ratio - 40

CPU Voltage - Manual Mode
CPU Manual Voltage - 1.225v
CPU current capability = 100%

everything else is auto.

Result 1.225v @ 4GHz Cant even run Prime95 at all. doh.gif
If I set CPU Ratio 42 it wont boot window at all.

Any setting I had missed?

rise the voltage? just cause someone say 1.225 works for them doesnt mean it works for u. and did u enable load line calibration?

but 4GHz is a rather conservative for Sandy OC. Quite a number of them can even go for 4.5GHz, even most can do 4Ghz on stock.

Load line calibration is on default = auto.

Turbo ratio is 40, same as my Multiplier. so it shouldnt OC further.
