not stock cooler, After market cooler though, scythe Ninja 3. Hmm, gonna reapply thermal paste then. Gflop inconsistent due to overheating? I disable that overspeed proctection though. So technically for the clock speed to be stable it needs to be at least 100+ and above?

temp almost the same even with a different brand of tim being applied. 2nd attempt. 4.6Ghz running 5 times (will go for 20 before heading to bed) Turbo boost was on previously (did some research and many said it should be turn off for stability right)

QUOTE(MazeLoL @ Feb 21 2012, 01:41 PM) Guys, im new in this overclocking stuff and spec as siggy shown. Try increasing the vcore slowly and test for stability. Well there are tons of information in this thread, don't be lazy and go read it up. As for the CPU SPECTRUM, it's better to leave it disable. If the comp reboots itself, there may be many factors. so i7 2600k i try to put on 4.5Ghz on 1.255v izzit too low for stability ?? I m very new in this overclock stuff...so someone please guild me ...T.T Previously what i had done... i put 4.5ghz on 1.38v and run Prime95 for 8 hours+ and no error which is good...but i try to do some rendering on twilight after 20 minutes the com reboot itself..any clue of this happening? Do i need to DISABLE the CPU SPECTRUM to get the chip stable?? 1. Temp 2. Unstable OC |
