Hi all
Am total noob at 1155 overclocking.
All I did:
1. 44x 2. Vcore 1.29
[attachmentid=2124473]
Prime95 64bit stable for 6 hours, so its ok huh?
Is my Vcore too high for 4.5GHz?
I notice its on 4.5GHz all the time, it wont drop even when system idling, how to I solve this?
TQ

QUOTE(clawhammer @ Mar 29 2011, 10:39 PM) Sandy Bridge is easy to overclock and to be honest, things are getting easier and easier to overclock compared to when I first started You've done it right and your Vcore looks good. Of course you can try lowering it to see if it's stable, some trial and error is what you need. To solve your 4.5Ghz stagnant problem, please enable "C" state and EIST in your BIOS What about the temperature? Looks good?

I realize when my system is idle, the CPU will down clock itself which is normal, but the Vcore is still quite high.
For example:
My full load 4.5GHz vcore = 1.312
Idle 1.5GHz vcore = 1.27
Normal?
