QUOTE(kevink82 @ Mar 5 2011, 10:31 AM) rise the voltage? just cause someone say 1.225 works for them doesnt mean it works for u. and did u enable load line calibration? but 4GHz is a rather conservative for Sandy OC. Quite a number of them can even go for 4.5GHz, even most can do 4Ghz on stock. Load line calibration is on default = auto. Turbo ratio is 40, same as my Multiplier. so it shouldnt OC further. give ur proc a few bumps on vcore, dont compare with others doing 5 GHz @ 1.36v bcoz each proc has its own strength and behaves differently

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Mar 2 2011, 12:41 PM) eh hint hint u can get cheaper kits Found some Transcend aXeRam DDR3 2400MHz 9-11-9-28 in stock, almost same as CMGTX3,use "Powerchip" FBGA chips.look at the Pi's or that AMD flare thingy. U will have better chance of getting handpicked PSC's that will beat those ripjaws easy and cheaper What you guys think? http://www.memoryc.com/products/descriptio..._28_/index.html This post has been edited by stasio: Mar 6 2011, 06:48 PM |

need some guide here for a newbie, I'm currently using 2500k+GA-P67A-UD3, previously OC to 4Ghz using stock heatsink. But recently I just brought CM V6GT and try to overclock it to 4.5Ghz, Vcore at 1.35. Supposedly working fine, but after few hours of gaming, it would crash into bluescreen, dumping memory something like that, seem like it still not stable .... any advise I could use ?

0x124 = increase/decrease QPI/VTT first, if not increase/decrease vcore...have to test to see which one it is
My vcore already bump to 1.35 instead of 1.34, still having the same issue, but the length of "survivability" was longer ..... still need to increase ?? |

124 is related to insufficient vcore.
U should try a higher vcore say 1.45v if stable then only reduce it slowly notch by notch. Worst voltage comes 1st. |

QUOTE(acther @ Mar 8 2011, 12:38 PM) With that insane vCore, dont think i will bench 5.3GHz right now at this hot place. So far linX stable max out at 5.1 GHz HT only, cooling limit. The Elpida 7-7-7-20-1T is meant for short tests ie Pi 32m only. Not to be stressed, 1.72v vdimm btw... |

Maximus IV Extreme -UEFI 1204 BIOS
http://www.mediafire.com/?qvgxf3wa6wv115a - Improved OC performance using Multipliers or Auto Overclocking - Improved BCLK and DRAM OC capabilities when enabling the “Internal PLL Overvoltage” option in BIOS. Note - Sleep/Hibernate will not operate properly due to Intel Specs. - Improved Memory Profiles and Performance (Elpida Hyper owners, please use Red Slots for best performance, CFG Lock to Disable should improve SuperPI times even better now) - Improved USB compatibility, performance and UEFI fixes - Minor Bug Fixes - Enable SPDIF output support in UEFI - Enhanced auto rules - Fixed OC profile usage with vCore offset mode - Enable CPU target frequency at POST |
