noted. so any advantages on deluxe 16+2 phase vs. 12+2 phase?
is 16 cpu + 2 mem phase overkill? enuf with 12 to get atleast 5.0Ghz Oc? |

i find installing sp1 for win7 and using 4 threads stress the cores more and u get higher gflops due to avx, my chip sucks though 5 ghz error out after 5 hrs prime small fft.....

QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Feb 2 2011, 10:50 AM) nice LinX failed whenever i set CPU PLL lower than 1.85v.but isnt ure glops again bugged with the cpu pll. i get 84 on 4.7 HT on i found that the pll volage seriously gives inconsistent bug linx runs I got 84GFlops at 1.80v but just cant pass 20 runs. Vcore also will affect GFlops but cooling is limiting my job. Will see later if i could make it. |

vCore affects GFlops ? higher vcore less gFlops ? |

Maximus tends to BCLK up itself from 100 to 101.5, while other mobos is still 98.5 at default lol. I got 84GFlops when up vcore a few notches and BCLK shot up itself to 101.5 during LinX.
Added on February 2, 2011, 6:57 pm QUOTE(monsh @ Feb 2 2011, 05:20 PM) GFlops will either up or down. GFlops will be constant once ure at optimum vcore. The GFlops wont increase after this point. GFlops increases when BCLK is increased. But GFlops will drop when u push CPU PLL higher. Means CPU is not giving the actual performance in terms of GFlops when u alter the CPU PLL.This post has been edited by owikh84: Feb 2 2011, 06:57 PM |

@owikh
is that some sort of features provided by asus in m4e ? auto boost bclk on stress system ? @cstkl1 so ur saying that vCore has nothing to do with the PLL is it ? optimize both for best performance is it ? does this mean that at optimum vCore and PLL the SB will perform at its best ? but increasing vCore might reduce or improve system but resulting in not completely stable system ? and higher PLL simply means lower gFlops ? |

QUOTE(monsh @ Feb 2 2011, 11:02 PM) @owikh cpu pll has always been cpu frequency to dram speed related.is that some sort of features provided by asus in m4e ? auto boost bclk on stress system ? @cstkl1 so ur saying that vCore has nothing to do with the PLL is it ? optimize both for best performance is it ? does this mean that at optimum vCore and PLL the SB will perform at its best ? but increasing vCore might reduce or improve system but resulting in not completely stable system ? and higher PLL simply means lower gFlops ? vcore in the sense of oscillation i guess u can call it related. it was the same in x58. hence y u see my clocks having high glops. i've been running at 1.5v up to 1.47 so far. for i7 was running at 1.5 up to 4.3ghz and then for 4.4-4.5 was 1.65v. i did a test with 1.83 i think for bclk 216 but didnt yield anything |
