im newbie in OCing biggrin.gif need some advice..
is the CPU voltage and temp good for 24/7 usage?
why the voltage in CPUZ different with the CORE Temp?
pls guide me biggrin.gif

Added on July 24, 2011, 11:51 pm

Updated! the Temp become 57c while playing games, is it normal to use it for 24/7?
the vcore and temps look fine.
VID and vcore are different. VID is the stock settings your CPU runs on. Your vcore is what is set at in bios, but don't forget about the vdroop.

128c seriously? Tats scary high bro u are going to kill ur CPU. Pls set CPU overheat protection to 100c in bios settings. Unless if the aisuite given u false temp reading.
Vdroop is related to load line calibration LLC. It will decrease the vcore during load.

yes, but if it's really 128c, i already have noticed my chasis is getting hot.. the cpuid HWmonitor also shows 128c, i havent check with real temp... i think the sensor give an error, is it possibl to get 128c? well my comp still running and no reboot..

updated! running at 4.5Ghz, is the temp and voltage are fine?
69c~73c at 4.5ghz.. what will happen if the cpu dont enough voltage?

I've never encountered or seen core temp as high as 128c before but i do believe that those are false reading.

The 128c is a standard readout when the sensor is not working or not available. Nothing would be working at this insane temp.

But now u're running 4.5GHz it looks quite normal already. Just make sure that u use the updated CoreTemp, RealTemp, etc for accurate readings.

Yes you may run 4.5ghz for 24/7 as long as you are happy with the stability
And no,you won't hit the highest temperature you get in stress testing tool in real world
The load on real world is not as huge as those stress testing tool biggrin.gif

hi guyz, i got something to ask.. my cpu currently run 4.5Ghz at 1.32V, what will happen if i decrease the voltage and stay with the current speed? what will happen if cpu run at high speed but low voltage?
can i stay with 70c+ cpu for daily usage?

U will hv better temp with lower volt. Every ppl aim for this efficiency lah, as long as it gives u stability.

As for 70c+ for daily usage i believe it has been answered in few posts back. 70c will not melt ur CPU. 100c is the point which is going to make u worried.

First, find the speed you are happy with
Then find the lowest voltage that give stability biggrin.gif

Stability=No Crash in Daily Usage,Pass IBT
At least IMO lar
If not stable then there will be BSOD,crash during daily usage or IBT biggrin.gif
