Hi all the pros here.. im new to overclocking.. im juz wondering why my gflops is so low when ht is turned on.. anyone can help?

Thus HT produces lower GFlops.
Try compare 8 ppl using the same 4-port router with 4 ppl only.

but then why is urs running 60+ at 4.9 with ht on? And how come my fren can run it with 100+ and the time is so much less than mine??

My 4.9 HT was run with old LinX non AVX aka win7 SP1.
Latest LinX + SP1 will produce 100+ GFlops on both HT without HT.

O.o really.. then i wanna try it out later =D

btw, is my overclock at 5ghz ok?? i cant seem to raise the ram to 1600mhz..

5GHz, cooling still allow.
Up multi and vcore will do.

Ouch, no wonder I saw you guys's temp much lower than mine.. Somehow, I put the fan in the wrong airflow direction on my V6 GT It supposed to suck air from the front and vent it out at the back.. Now both fans suck in the air.. Grrr..tried looking for the correct direction from the manual but couldn't find it and I stupily didn't mark them during disassembly.

i give up trying my 2500k at 4.8GHz..
the temperature when crazy when running prime for 40 mins.
this mobo only allow me to enter vcore voltage by this format:
0.01, 0.02, 0.03

does 0.015v make a noticeable difference compared to 0.01v bro?

mine didnt make any difference of 0.05v. i nid to increase it at 0.1v intervals

i wanna spent around RM600 for z68 mobo...is asrock z68 extreme4 is good??anybody here try it yet??

Why dont add abit more budget and try the ASUS one?

The Asrock is a good value for money buy I've tried using it before (P67) and moving to Maximus IV is literally giving me the same result of overclocking because I'm not so extreme. If you intend to do 4.5-4.7 without tweaking RAM settings etc then this is the board to get. Some folks with a good CPU can also manage to get more than 5Ghz with Asrock boards.

However if you want cosmetics then maybe the design/color might not be so attractive compared to Asus boards

heard that asus maximus formula is actually asrock fatality

Why not go buy it and let us know.
