Not looking for those TESCO bike type of skewer bolts for fear of snapping. Anybody experienced with running it?

From QR to bolt? using for the rear?

isnt QR easier to maintain. easier to tighten and loosen ma.
unless u wanted to go for a 10mm through for the rear depending on hub

From what I researched, there's an added rigidity to the front end when switching from QR to bolts, even if the diameter remains unchanged (9mm).

While no doubt a QR is easier to work with, but when I really think of it, I just have to deal with it twice every ride (mount x1, unmount x1), near the car where tools is easily accessible.

Where in the case of a puncture mid trail, I'd have my tools out of the hydrapack anyway.

It does takes like a few more minutes to both mount and unmount though.

Also notice that when running QR, once a while the tightening tension would be off, causing brake rubs and etc.

Clamping force of a bolt on skewer is higher, hence more secure than any QR too.

So yeah, this is the cheap man's way of trying to improve the ride... Hopefully.

ic... your explanation does make sense on the tighter tension.
but i'm curious on how much it helps in term of rigidness or stiffness since the dropout is not resting on the skewer but resting on spacer/cap (dunno what to call, the small nub on the end hub where the skewer goes in).

but blingness with qr bolt is for sure!!

on a side note, should i change my old heavy bomber for a epicon? i felt my bike blardy heavy after touching max's xtc... shit... this been bordering me since yesterday

Chamelion, is that a HOPE freewheel? IIRC, they do make a steel version. Alternately can get the PG990 to avoid such problems. Contemplating on the HG61, but looking at your pix, I had 2nd thoughts... sweat.gif

nicer sticker...
u regular rider? u need this for what purpose?
there is no supplement can help for basic build up.

Ppl norm take these only in race n jamboree. that is also after u reach certain basic stamina.

Best is u start cranking; endure the pain; and have positive attitude!!!  blush.gif
