I have the same problem. When the installation bar almost at the bar, it showed "unable to install unprotected application form untrusted developer".
Try many times to resign using SignSIS, installing, and even a few reboot. Still can't install the mod.

I don't think the problem with sign, becoz if not properly sign, will have certificate error.
Other app give no problem with the same signing software+key+cert, so the problem is not about signing the app. It something else.

So, still have the "unprotected application"? I still can't install the mod.

Just now I tried to use the earphone after a long time keeping them inside the box. Like before, I got headache . I think the in-ear earphone design is not for me.

Any nice earphone to pair with my N8? Looking for sport earphone but not in-ear design.

So far I try played several of my movies selection, mostly can play but some have no sound. But I'm not a movie fans so, my selection is limited.

But what I really want is a player to play subtitles. I use my N8 mostly to watch tv series rather than movies and only play it at low volume. Because I hate to use the earphone, subtitle is must. Why in Big Screen app can, but not in N8 default player?

Also want a tripod for my N8. Want to try make some videos.

Big Screen have other problem as well. Mine when lock, the screen will not go to black or screen saver. So I just uninstall it yesterday. Didn't know sklchan mod can install after that. Just now I install again after reading your post and it's work!

I also couldn't install sklchan mod at first, then ignore it. On Sunday I uninstall some of my rarely use app like Big Screen and some trial social net apps. A few apps I forgot what it is. Yesterday I tried again after reading a post here. And it really work.

Usb cable - Yes, a must when I go out specially for work. Easily to charge and transfer contact or calendar.
Usb on the go - Depend. When go to work, no need. But if to travel some far place, will bring the cable to watch movie directly from sub drive.
HDMI cable - nope, so far only try once for testing game (NFS) and once to try Big Screen apps. In fact, I don't know if I need to use it at anywhere else than my home.

Ha...ha...Nokia never keep their promise. Just assume new firmware will be next year. If earlier, a bonus.

Nokia is a telephone maker not a software giant. That why Symbian in N8 need a major facelift. Since 5800, we almost have same home screen and menu screen. Nokia great at hardware but not in the software department. If compare with Apple and Google, both company can come up with major OS yearly.
