Guys our N8 should be able to play any 720p MKV files right? Last night copy Shrek 3 to phone and try play but i can only manage to heard the Audio not the Video..

The file around 500Mb size, Res 1280 x 544. or do i miss any restriction format on it?

That's the downside. I guess most of my MKV collections using the same codec. I wish have time for re-encode the video back..

Have heard somewhere that the problem probably related to the fact that one of the movie is encoded with the CABAC algorithm where reference frames are set to 5 or higher. And another one which is working with CABAC off or ref. frames set to 4 or less.

To sum up the restrictions are as follows:

- Scale size <= 720p

- CABAC reference frames <= 4 or CABAC off

- File size < 4GB (also restricted to FAT32 mass memory of our phone)

- Framerate <= 30 fps (according to spec.)
