QUOTE(charliec @ Apr 30 2011, 03:07 PM) I was at the sales gallery this morning and asked the following qns: This project is under commercial title, so its non HDA. HDA is for residential project. And mostly the liability period for commercial is all 12months.1. Is this project covered under the Housing Development Act? (answer: no, its non-HDA, so HDA regulations dont apply) 2. Is the defect liability similar to the HDA i.e. 24 mths? (answer: no, 12 months only) 3. Scheduled payment, upon commencement or upon completion? (answer: upon commencement) 4. Is this project a serviced apartment or a SOHO? (answer: neither, its a designer suite - cant use the normal term - as it would give the meaning of a residential project) 5. So, its not a residential project? (answer: its not. thats why you dont see us putting a bed or a mattress in the show gallery. we dont call a kitchen, but a pantry. but you can do whatever you want with it after you have purchased it) From what I gather, I feel there are many information being witheld. I was not comfortable when the salesperson said that its a non-HDA project. The HDA was ammended in 2007 to provide more protection for home buyers, however this project is not bound by that act, and hence the developer will draw his own terms & conditions. Furthermore, he was not able to tell me who owns Cherrie Springs (the project developer). He only said its own by a group of ex-architects. And this was their first project. Hope the info above helps in your decision-making. |

Heard the developer is sending out letter to owners for vacant possession. Anyone had taken keys? Wonder how is the workmanship like?

Your freiend must be getting lots of fire frm the owners now 😄, i heard a lot of them are not happy. My friend even posted in his FB saying the developer is lousy....😱 |
