I just got a set of Sony LCD 32BX300 + DAV-TZ130 home theater system, and I connected astro via normal components cable and HT via HDMI port.

I want to make my HT to play Astro's audio but I have no idea how to make it. When I switch the speaker to "Audio System" the HT didn't produce any sound (but if playing dvd there's sound). In the TV settings > HDMI devices I found out only DVD has "connected" status but the label "Audio system" is blank.

HDMI control is on, i can control my tv using the HT remote. but just no sound from astro.

Already done the bravia sync settings but maybe it seems complicated to me >.< Anyone has similar experience can guide me?
I've no idea where to start already... thanks in advance.

P/S: newbie to HDMI/LCD thingy, previously was on CRT tv without HT.

Did some research, do I need to connect my HT to astro? Now my connection is:
Astro >> TV
HT >> TV
only...

My astro is not astro BEYOND, just normal SD astro. Wad cables can I connect astro to my HT?

on your astro decoder you should have red/white RCA analog stereo audio socket, use it for your astro audio

Oh it's as simple as this! I tried and it worked. thanks. But when I use like that the volume of astro output becomes smaller... My HT max volume, astro max volume still much lower compared to TV max volume, astro max volume. Guess i'll just use back TV audio.

Since this HT is a noob one, SQ doesn't doo justice too. thanks a lot!

your amp should produce lots of sound it is an amp after all, try playing around with your HT's surround mode by pressing in the remote control "surround" button

I will try with other settings... the max volume for the dvd player (or amp? it looks more like a dvd player) is 33, and in astro already maxed volume. I assume TV volume has nothing to do with this right, since astro audio is directed into the HT. At volume 33 (max) the sound is like volume 65/100 of the TV audio. I will try more later... Now back to TV audio and my mum is watching it...

TS, I'm thinking of getting the same model Home Theater. Can you comment on its sound & performance? Satisfactory?
