Can I know why do you use Zune to play songs? Or you mean the built in player with the Zune icon? I only use the built in player and it works well without any problem you stated.Please kindly do me a favour..

May be try a reset or so first b4 send the phone back to SIS? You know, it is kinda funny that you send the phone back for warranty just for a small/not so big deal software bug...
BTW, I am not using the bundled headphone but a Logitech headphone.
