hi all biggrin.gif

i prefer to built a pc but i dont really have an idea of those hardware.

currently im studying design, that requires me to use software such as 3dmax and adobe cs5... and i do gaming biggrin.gif

i've try to mix n match something, hope anyone give comments if there is something better or what...

and please roughly let me know d price...^^ budget within RM4k...


Processor : Intel Core i7 950
Motherboard : Gigabyte EX58A-UD3R
Ram : Kingston DDR1333 (CL9.0) 4GB
OR
Kingston Hyper-X DDR1600 2GBx3
Graphics : NVDIA Gigabyte GT460 DDR5
Hardisk : 1 or 2TB SATA 3.0 gb/s 7200rpm


if can, help me to add on something that i missed...

Hey lychee3611,

I found this guide on Ars Technica to be really helpful. Go have a read. It suggests the best combination of parts for 3 different types of PCs. Basic, Hotrod and Godbox. You should check out the Hotrod suggestions.

Why not building a Sandy Bridge rig? It is more powerful than Bloomfield (Core-i7 950), runs cooler too.

Take a few minutes to read some 2600K reviews.
