Hi guys, need help! cry.gif
My win vista suddenly takes like 7-9min to boot up, after I did a disc clean-up. together I also noticed my Safari browser had stopped working, it just freeze whenever I start the programme. I'm wondering is it related to Safari browser coz I notice I can use Safari to browse, but not using other Safari functions, it will just hang. (in fact I had uninstalled it and downlaoded a new copy and reinstalled it, same also)
I had scanned my hard disk twice, didn't find any virus or trojan.

Now even disk defragmenter also take 3 min to start ( did Disk Defragment, same also)
I also don't keep many Icons on desktop.

but after the window has started up, the rest of the programmes run normally with normal speed.

oh no.... tension already!!! rclxub.gif
Kindly provide me some help!

Thanks so much!

Intel Core 2 Dual E7500 2.93GHz, 3G RAM, Win Vista 32 Bit, normally before the problem arises, it only took 30-40 seconds to boot.
Thanks bro!

try msconfig and check at the diagnostic startup... and check which background software that slows down the CPU...

There is a possibility that your hard disk is about to give up the ghost. Better backup all critical data.

Thanks for all the advise bros!
My PC has now back to normal!
I did a complete hard disk scan, then restored the CPU backward 2 weeks before the incident, followed by disk defrag, and finally updated again all the Window updates..... now, seems everything is working fine.... touch wood.....
