bro dicksonbell, im still experiencing the battery drop, 3rd day using the OS6, like my battery normal half bar, suddenly in 1 second drop to red...same case like eugenechee, so just keep battery pulling and the problem will autofix?
*
That is normal, try for another 1-2 days..

QUOTE(multiplexer @ Jan 12 2011, 09:50 AM)
i believe once u install the bbos installer, there will be apploader.exe in the c:program files/common files/research in motion, the same folder vendor.xml that has to be deleted (has to be deleted if u used other carrier latest os). so to update the os, desktop manager is not neccessary.. after deleted the vendor.xml, straight away click on the apploader.exe, it wil do the rest.. just my 2 cent opinion only.. no offense..
*
If without Desktop Manager installed does C:Program files/Common files/Research in motion exits in first place???

Yes used BBSAK to backup 3rd party apps.. But that not included core built in apps... i.e Twitter/Foursquare and etc, in another word Apps World apps cant be restored you need to installed again after load new OS6... Desktop Manager is for you to restored your SMS/MMS/Contacts/email...

Yes you are right OS6 requirement are 256MB flash rom which 9700 having now, but due to multitasking on our BlackBerry it becomes slow... So it is not recommended... The most perfect OS6 is on 9780/9800

Same method as how you installed OS6 before.. Wipe everything and installed again...
