hi exwan,

wanted to check with you..if you did backup your files prior to this upgrade?

if yes, the restoration is seamless process rite?

I'm currently on .448 and I almost resetting my device daily to get better memory.

how to determine that phone is 9780 or 9700?i bought refurb set of 9700 recently..but after sumtimes, got some probs with trackpad..so i sent back to them to repair..after i get back my bb, its like brand new one..

when i view about device version - it said 9780 with 6.0 bundle 2115 (v6.0.0.480, platform 6.5.0.153)

or is it normal for 9700 when upgrade os to os6, it recognized as 9780..even my camera megapixel is large (2592x1944) - is it 5mp camera as in 9780?

Not that i think of... 9700 is 9700 even after update...
Go check RAM (9700 = 256, 9780 = 512)
Camera = 9700 3.2mp, 9780 5mp...

If ur camera is 5mp or memory more thatn 256... ur phone must be 9780...

Correct me if i'm wrong...

Eh.. I thought 256MB Ram also (storage 256, Ram 256)...

You're using OS6, rite?

Anyway.. to check ur memory / usage...
From Home Screen, just type "Applic" (short for Application...)
Pick "Options" icon
Then choose "Application Management"
Scroll 3x to the left (or 2x to the right)
U can see ur RAM usage, along with CPU / Memory / Application Usage

Yday I attempt to upgrade my OS from .448 -> .723

Remove existing OS from PC
Install .723 OS to PC
Did backup via DM and BBASK
Delete vendor.xml
click on app loader...next and next
stop at the screen as me to install / remove the following apps (those that I installed)

I stop there then...anything steps that I could have miss?

Added on March 21, 2012, 10:31 pmI tried to wipe the device and repeat the same process.

It says
"This application is not compatible to your device and cannot be loaded."

Mind to help anyone?

Added on March 22, 2012, 10:48 amI have revert my OS to .448

I guess the downloaded .723 version from SK telecom isn't complete.

Will search from another operator again.

The best and probably the only solution to a blackberry caught in an endless cycle of rebooting/or always displaying error messages is to perform a "Clean Reload of your Blackberry Device Software".

Try this 1st and let us know if the problem still persist. nod.gif
