Wow!

Things have sure changed by the looks of it. During my time (2007 intake), Engineering Mathematics is a sure win subject. I remembered one Maths lecturer telling us that they have to try to minimise the number of grade A students instead of the number of failures.

Changes for the better, I suppose?
Nevertheless, I do agree that C Programming has been, is, and will be a killer subject. Unless you already have basic in programming, be prepared for the shock of your life when you come across terms like "printf", "include stdio.h", and stuffs. All I can say is to keep an open mind to receive all these programming terminologies. It's like learning a new language.
Please do not skip any classes, even if you are very strong in that particular area. Some lecturers tend to give exam tips during their lectures. And some will conduct pop quiz (the quiz will pop out without anyone's knowledge, hence the name) at the end of the class.

lucky u, not a sure win subject for me.. 14/40 of my class (including me, i'm suck at maths) repeated this mathematics 1 paper, about 5 got D+(barely escaped), others got A- and below.. even the smartest chinese in our class got A-, nobody got A.. *in my class, not sure bout other class
josh92 is chinese right?? sure can score at least A- for maths, most chinese are good in maths..true story..
my advice on never skip classes for Electrical and Programming is because of their carry mark play a big role.. for programming, 60% - 40 %, test, quiz and assignment = 60% they are easy, that why attending classes are important.. but final question is a bit terrifying, dont expect the final to be the same as test/quiz.. if can score on carry mark, getting 3/4 on final is sufficient..
