Hi abdullah.ka! First of all, welcome to our country Malaysia. I am sure you will enjoy your stay here, in Malaysia and in Perlis.

Mind telling a bit more about yourself? Like where are you from? And maybe why did you choose UniMAP?

Don't worry, the School of Mechatronics Engineering has a lot of very helpful lecturers and professors. They live like one family there. I am speaking because I myself was from this school.

Feel free to consult any of those folks if you do encounter any problems.

oh thank yew smile.gif

i live in united arab emirates , dubai
i chose unimap because i heard that its one of the best universities in malaysia and the life there is not like the city life

Oh, you are from Dubai. That's a very beautiful city. In fact, many Malaysians do spend their holidays in Dubai, to get a glimpse at the Burj Khalifa. I believe that's one of many magnificant structures in Dubai, right?

Well, UniMAP is indeed a very good university, judging from her young age. Ranked among the top universities in the country, UniMAP is very much active in academic and research, as well as extra-curricular activities.

I am glad that you chose to read Biomedical Electronic Engineering. Even in Malaysia, not all university is offering this course, bearing in mind that this is a very new branch of engineering, and highly qualified teaching personnels are required. UniMAP has it all!

International students come in thick and fast every year, and quite a number of proportion is from the Middle East. So don't be surprise if you meet some of your countrymen here in UniMAP, and I am sure you will.

smile.gif I believe most of the people in Perlis understand English. But it's also good to equipped yourself with some Malay language. Don't worry a bit, my friend. The Malay language is very easy to learn, you will pick it up in no time. By the end of four years in Perlis and Malaysia, you will be speaking in Malay like a genuine Malaysian! thumbup.gif

Do international students have a special, more luxurious, more comfortable dorm as compared to local students?

I even heard that there are air conditioners installed in their homes...

Yes my room has an AC
But the questions is
Can I cook or watch tv in the room ?
