erm... perhaps wait for sum people in that course stumble upon here to explain?? lolx... i try see portal see what subjects u will be taking.....  though pls research on urself too whut this course is about. The uni was a distributed campus concept. meaning the whole perlis area got our facilities. nowadays, main campus is being built, so depends whether ur course facilities are outside of main campus or inside. Either way, hostels are spread accross perlis, new comers SHOULD be going to the flats styled hostels.... i'm in taman semarak.. terrace house hostels..

u can choose ur own roomate.. it wil b more convenient if u know any of ur girl friends who are going to d same uni as u r..

i do haf quite a number of frens who were in d same situation as u r in now.. i recalled one who did her stpm biology, and she was offered to do metalurgical engg in unimap.. well, she was obviously frightened and clueless when she got dat offer.. but yet she took up d offer..

yes, d first few months was quite a struggle for her.. but as time passed by, she slowly picked up n she was doing well in d next semester.. dont worry.. u wil nt b alone thr.. u wil haf vy helpful lecturers whom are always ready to help u out.. on top of dat.. u wil haf lots of helpful coursemates..

Some precautions advice to the peeps coming to unimap soon: well it has been raining A LOT lately in perlis, us the 'traumatized' ones worry about worst case scenario - flood.

So, while packing your stuffs, make sure to bring along umbrellas.

in year1 u will be stay in wang ulu and every day need to travel by bus (FREE NO NEED TO PAY)  to seberang ramai for classes. when u in year 2,3,4 u will stay in KG.Wai that is located opposite of seberang ramai and it walking distance to class. This course is related to frequency, signal ,fiber optic , wave , circuits and so on...........When u grad from this course u will working in telco company such as Maxis,Time, Celcom, Jaring, mykriss, Astro and so on..... normally this class in less student around 30-40 people and the lecture here is friendly... In (school of computer and communication) got 3 course that is communication engineering, computer engineering and Network Engineering.

perlis is freakin hot. i cant even stop myself from buying any drinks i found at the roadside. i hope today not so hot bcoz i wanna go jalan2 with my bike....

i guess d right place to go is to ur school's admin office.. u can ask d dept assistant there.. they will know what is available for you..
