apa server tu?

Those are the three top file-sharing servers back then during my time. From engineering software to music videos; they seemed to have it all.

You can get your much-awaited TVB, Korean, Japanese and sometimes, even Malaysian and Singaporean series right from these servers. Not to mention the latest movies (not the now-showing ones, of course) in a few clicks of your mouse button.

All in all, the Jian, Ming and Fook servers were the heartbeat of Kolej Kediaman Tan Sri Aishah Ghani, or Wang Ulu, as it is passionately known. Students, irrespective of year of study, race and gender, flocked to these servers on a daily basis for everything under the sun...even EXAM PAPERS organised according to year, School and programme! Yesiree! They even hosted an examination papers bank over there.

While the exam papers remained a hit among students, a more noteworthy point to mention is that the games folder in these servers. They had the complete package -- from the all-addictive DotA and the ever-challenging FPS* Counter Strike: Condition Zero, to simple baby games in the shape of Elf Bowling, 3-D Ping Pong and Pac Man, just to name a few.

Another point worth noting is that of the large storage of music files in the Jian, Ming and Fook servers. Basically, from the oldies to the newbies, that's all I can say! You could jolly-well find the likes of the Bee Gees, the Beatles, Teresa Teng, Leslie Cheung, Andy Lau, Aaron Kwok, Lai-ming, and Cheong Hok-yau (what's his English name?), as well as more recent names such as Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, OneRepublic, Fish Leong, Guang-liang (or Michael Wong)...and the list just went on and on, to be honest. Ohh, not to mention Malay compilations from the evergreen Siti Nurhaliza, Tan Sri P. Ramlee and all the best of our local delights. The funny thing is that when Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Chinese New Year, Deepavali and Christmas were near, songs pertaining to these festivities would be automatically added into the servers! So when it was time for the celebrations to kick off, the dorms in Wang Ulu would be filed with sounds of

constantly emanating from the speakers of each and every student. Indeed, the joy of celebrations could be felt even at the very secluded corners of Wang Ulu.

It was tough to imagine life without these majestic servers back then. Personally, I remembered when all three of them were shutdown because the owners went back to their respective hometowns, life were never the same again. Everybody was literally crying in agony and praying hard for their return. Nonetheless, when they return, they usually return with a big bang. More new TV series, movies and songs were added to their constantly increasing collection. It was like heaven on Earth with these servers around. We would only leave our rooms for food during the weekends. Other than that, it was either LAN gaming, drama/movie watching, or for the more nerdy type of students, exam papers browsing.

Ahh, life was good...

*FPS is an acronym for First-person shooter and not floating production system or floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels used in the oil and gas industry.

Right now only have no brainier idiot that selfish!!!
I remember about server that share whole things.
But i don't know the name. Yeah its with IP Address.

As far as I know, all contributors in this thread are UniMAP students, from Year 1 up to final year. I am not sure if there are any lecturers here who are pretending to be students though.
