Humble Bundle is back & this time, it brings us a totally new game, Voxatron!

Gone are the days when we have to wait for games by Blizzard, Valve, Ubisoft & all the big guns! With the emergence of indie game developers, we get to see, feel & experience first hand what kind of games we can expect from these guys who have neither big coordinated teams nor near-unlimited budget!

Based on the trailer above, this is something extraordinary! I would seriously rank this at somewhere just slightly below Minecraft, if and IF everything turns out as what I've expected. Seems to me that the environment, landscape & doodads can be destroyed too! Woot~

Oh My, it got destructible environment. Its nice and look like damn fun.

Looks quite similar to Minigore from Apple's appstore.

Alright, thread has been renamed.

Checked Minigore & I think the main similarity we're looking at here is the fact they're both shooters. Yeah, I did observe that both have blocky models & big enemies which turn into a swarm of miniature version of itself when killed.

To be honest, the first "hmm" that I got when I watch the clip was "OMFG is this 3D Dot Game Heroes 2?"

Indie games works great on tablets and phones.

Small enough to download and to transfer, easy learning curve, mobile and takes little time to play.

The bolded part; wait until you got yourself addicted to Minecraft.

there is a lot of indie games that have really great gameplay
and will keep u playing for hours

Me too. Too bad it's not Steam native.

I like my indie games on Steam too because Indie games are generally quite small (in terms of data).

Er it's like any other Windows program, just that it's not a native Steamworks title.
It's a really small download too < 1 MBytes.

Bundles like these repulse me from buying indie games separately.

I thought this bundle only came with Voxatron initially.

Throwing in more games halfway through the sales duration has been Humble Bundle's modus operandi for the past few rounds.

Good fun.

Hope they throw more in.

Will consider buying this. Im sure there will be more games added to the bundle. For the past humble bundle, there are at least 5 games

Expect too much & you'll come crashing down.

Played a bit of The Binding of Isaac.

Somewhat disturbing yet entertaining.

Bought this mainly for the Binding of Isaac. Because it's awesome.

Voxatron's okay. Kinda wish I could see more of the screen at a time.

Just finished Binding of Isaac within an hour.

Short but sweet.

Disturbing yet entertaining.

Freakin' hard! Never got beyond Cave II.

You use keyboard + mouse combo or gamepad?

When I click gamepad, the game instruct me to google joy2key or something.

Keyboard. Yeah joy2key is a program that maps keyboard keys to a joypad. Used it before on older games.
No saves, and random everytime, incredibly fun but frustrating at the same time.

I tried this early this morning.

Doesn't work very well for The Binding of Isaac. However, works great with old games like Raptor.

Gonna try it with my arcade stick.

Binding of Isaac is a Flash Game, that's why you need Joy2Key to rebind keys (Flash apparently natively doesn't support custom controls).

That said, I love the game anyway. Keep playing over and over again for different items/bosses/enemies/levels, etc.
