any jewelry lao pan here, or jewelrry experts here. What does 926 marking on a silver/white gold chain mean? can it differentiate between silver and white gold?

as stated previously, 926 is gold purity of 92.6%.

If you think you're getting cheated, relax bro. All wearable gold is 92.6%, well most of them.

the 99% gold purity is reserved for buying those gold bars sold at those jewelry shop.

White gold is not good for investment as once you buy it, it depreciates in value. But if you're waifu/gf/mistress likes it, then you have no choice. tongue.gif

Nowadays the price of gold is at an all time high due to high speculation. Not sure investing in gold would get you better returns on the long run due to the current market situation.
