There was a pipe leakage above plaster ceiling and it damaged the part of plaster ceiling

Nevertheless the part was also cut open to repair the pipe leakage

Cut hole is about 2ft x 3 ft

While I could not use the earlier method as the cut out part was already severely damaged with holes and glass fibre showing I am wondering is it fine it leave the hole there

This is because when I asked normally nobody wants to come all the way just to do a small part of plaster celing only

If it is okay to leave it I will just leave it until there are more renovation required and lump it together at one shot but just worrying might cause problems like lizards infestation
