Hi All,
I just bought 6 Daikin aircons and installed them (by aircon technician) last week. 4 of them are inverters and 2 are non-inverters. After a week, the 4 inverters still running ok but the 2 non-inverters are no longer blowing cold air. The indoor units for the non-inverters are running but the outdoor compressors are not running at all. Anyone have this problem before? Gas leak? Compressor faulty? Fuse broken?
Please advise. Thanks!
Regadrs, Lim

Obviously not.
I already tried to set everything possible on the remote, 18C, varying fan speeds. Powerful mode. All to no avail.

All tested.
I heard from someone might be due to fuse blown because of TNB electric supply not stable. Someone suggested to bypass the fuse.

QUOTE(Shazzac @ Jan 4 2011, 06:44 PM) sometimes not because tnb supply is not stable. I'm not sure what is the max kw that is allowed to be used at one time but usually if you switch on like 3-4 a/c & water heater, power will be automatically cut off. Unless you change your main power to those that can allow more current. If u bypass the fuse, one day when there is too much of electricity, will cause fire.... Hi Shazzac, You got confused when I mentioned the fuse. It is not the fuse to my home supply (else indoor unit and all my lights will be off). I mean the fuse inside the external unit (the compressor). My aircon technician checked the connections and piping and all ok (no leaking, electric supply is there to the input of the compressor). He suggested me to call up Daikin support. I did and now waiting for them to respond. However, just want to check with this forum to see if anyone has the same experience and what is the root cause. I don't want to get conned or given lame excuse by Daikin ppl. Regards Lim

Thanks for all the feedback and suggestions!
I have called Daikin customer service and still waiting for them to come after 1 week! Damn slow service. The excuse is they have long backlog of customer complaints due to the year-end holidays and most of their staff are still on leave...
I bought 6 Daikin, 4 inverters and 2 non-inverters (rm855 each). Both non-inverters' compressor stopped working after 1 week. Really bad experience I had with Daikin.
Originally wanted to buy 2 Sharp's 1hp basic model instead (cost rm800) instead of the 2 Daikin non-inverters, but the shop ran out of stock. I woudn't had this problem if I had waited for the shop to re-stock the sharp ones (2-3 days delay) instead of rushing for the daikin ones (now 1 week+ no aircon for 2 rooms) ...
Really regret.
Guess the non-inverter models are not the flagship product for Daikin and they don't uphold the same QC as the inverter ones...
Hope I don't have the same bad experience with the inverter ones.

QUOTE(wsrulez @ Jan 9 2011, 06:53 PM) daikin is a well known brand and the price also .... I dont think you shall regret. Just constantly follow up with them to get your two units fixed. The problem should be with the compressor since non inverter is start/stop type. Finally, the Daikin guy came today and he managed to fix the issue within 15 minutes. The problem was because the fuse at the compressor has blown. The guy just bypassed the fuse and now it worked. According to him, this is very common for Daikin non-inverter models because the fuse is meant for Japan electric supply.
