The compressor is controlled by a relay usually can be found on the integrated circuit in your indoorr unit. Some use relay and some use contactor. It worked like a switch. Your indoor will running 24/7 but your compressor isnt. You can use testpen to check if there are power from the output of this relay. If they are power, try to check if your compressor make any sound from your outdoor unit. If they are, it mean gas leakage. You can bypass the relay though since it carry single phase 240v to power up the compressor.

If thats the case, i can only think of :

1) Your compressor capacitor need to be replaced. Without the capacitor's help, the compressor dont have enough "juice" to start up even though there is a supply flowing into it.
2) Ask your technician to check whether the compressor is really running by using ampere clamp meter and clamp the live wire to see if there are any amperage. If the ampere value is below 1 to 0.1, that mean your compressor doesnt run. If the ampere goes high such as >15 Ampere, that mean your compressor already jammed. There is 1 more thing, the "thermal relay" on your compressor already spoiled. This relay acted up as overheat protection to the compressor. It the compressor overheat, it will cut off the power to the compressor. You can try to bypass this relay if there are any.


P/s : there is a label/sticker on the ourdoor unit that stated model, running ampere and more. Check the running ampere value, ask your technician to bring ampere clamp meter to check if the value on the meter are the same as the sticker/label. Perfect running unit should give almost identical value
