QUOTE(elementz.malaysia @ Jan 3 2011, 10:01 AM) Might help taking something soothing, like chamomile tea. It relaxes! Also magnesium is a good relaxant. Might help. Do you have kids yet? If you have, you will know these teas will not work. Some mere teas cannot cover up an explosive volcano!

lol...that is pretty much it.
You just need to train them with things that can be trained. Like making sure they sit down in their chair for the whole meal event or bathing. Things that cannot be trained like playing toys, you just have to let them be. But try to get toys that you can play with them. You have to spend time playing the toys with them or else they will not be interested. At 14 months, try not to let them watch too much TV.

not using the word 'no' is one of the many different methods to bring up a child. Canning is also another method to bring up a child. You apply the method that you think suits you. Like me, I uses a balance between canning and saying 'no" and rewarding and so on.
I do play with my kids and they play with me. But when I am angry with them, I say "no" and they will know. And when it still does not work, comes the cane.
I do not have the patience of the western way in which no canning. Or don't say 'no'. That is just not my style.
Use whichever method that suits you and your kids.
