I am planning a way into hifi as well, but not as elite as others.

I am targeting a Cambridge Audio Azur 840A Class XD Int Amp to pair with my Denon 3310. CDP is Rega Apollo to the Int amp for pure music listening. What do you think of this CA with 120w/c pair with Rega and integration with Denon?

Seriously, source for 2nd hand higher end int amp. Some are very well taken care. I bought a Krell 300i int amp for less than RM4.3K. In good condition.

I think that krell 300i is worth RM10,000+ when new a decade ago. Lots of brute force but not as refined as the replacement 400xi.

Actually, I have both Guess that I am the lucky few out there that managed to collect both.

The 300i is punchy while some may term as brutal. The 400xi is very refined.

The Krell simply powerful. These int amp got no problem driving Apogee loudspeakers. Try that with other int amp with same power rating and see.

Never knew of anyone having both so yes, you are lucky and a collector. BTW, how much did you get your 400xi for?
